Preato Capital, founded 2004, is a privately held investor in primarily Nordic SMEs. We look for a controlling stake, critical mass, quality management, reasonable profitability and predictable cash-flow. We have an indefinite investment horizon and a plausible exit is not a prerequisite for an investment. Our main holdings are Svensk Pantbelåning (www.svpant.se) and Helsingin Pantti (www.pantti.fi), the largest pawn shop chains in Sweden and Finland, respectively, with a combined total of 26 branches and a loan stock of over 100.000 loans.
